If James Bond had worn the bulletproof V007 model from VEST PARIS, we can bet that some of his movies would have lasted much shorter. Fewer thrilling chases, fewer desperate stunts... and a lot fewer bloody shirts.
We had fun replaying some scenes from the most famous James Bond, iconic scenes where Agent 007 would have done well to swap his tuxedo for our V007 bulletproof jacket (the aptly named one).
Skyfall: a train, a sniper and a useful V007 jacket
In Skyfall, Bond fights on a train launched at full speed, a classic. But this time, out of luck, Moneypenny takes a bad aim and accidentally shoots our hero, throwing him into a vertiginous fall into a freezing river. A major blow for the British secret services.
But if Bond had worn the V007, its bulletproof and blade-proof protection would have absorbed the impact. Instead of ending up in “disappear for months” mode, he would have gotten up, a bit groggy but flawless, and simply raised an eyebrow at Moneypenny before getting back on the bandwagon. Stylish and effective
Goldfinger: Dr. No's laser? A detail
In one of the most iconic moments of the saga, Bond finds himself tied up on a metal table, with a laser threatening to give him far too radical permanent hair removal. “Do you expect me to talk?” he asks stoically. “No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die.”
Except that now, with the V007, no laser penetrates our ultra-light and undetectable bulletproof technology. Thanks Protecop! Bond would therefore have waited quietly, feigning anxiety, and then got up as if nothing had happened, under the dumbfounded eyes of Goldfinger. “Finally, not today.” he would have let go before knocking out his opponent with a gloved hand.
Casino Royale: a Bond in less bad shape after torture
In Casino Royale, Bond finds himself captured and tortured by Le Chiffre. Tied to a chair, he undergoes a treatment that is at least... uncomfortable.
With the V007, the scene would have been very different. Instead of being shirtless and vulnerable, he would have kept his bulletproof vest, making the beatings much less effective. The result: less pain and a faster counterattack against the torturer.
The Spy Who Loved Me: a much more serene underwater shootout
In this classic, Bond finds himself under a hail of bullets during an underwater clash. Although particularly agile, he still ends up in the open.
With the V007, he would have taken bullets without flinching, which would have given him plenty of time to neutralize his attackers, all without ruffling his impeccable suit.
Spectre: enemy base shootout
In Spectre, Bond enters the Blofeld base and soon finds himself under heavy fire from his enemies. He must take cover and show surgical precision to get out of it.
If he had worn the V007 jacket, he could have moved forward with more confidence, knowing that the bullets stopped by the jacket would have given him time to fight back with his legendary elegance.
GoldenEye: when a jacket makes all the difference
In GoldenEye, Bond is targeted in a warehouse by his former friend Alec Trevelyan. If he had had the V007, he could have faced his opponent with a clear advantage, absorbing the shots before gaining the upper hand in the final duel.
Verdict: James Bond + V007 = a winning combination
Of course, we love Bond for his insane stunts and his talent for getting out of the worst situations. But it must be admitted that with a jacket as sophisticated as the VEST PARIS V007, the secret agent would have saved a lot of hospital stays (and ruined suits).
So, gentlemen at MI6, if you are reading us: it is time to equip your best agent with the V007. After all, even James Bond deserves a bit of comfort and safety.
And you, dear readers, if an 00 agent deserves this ultimate protection, why not you?
